Why This Guide Exists
Michigan law allows access to many arrest and booking records, yet Oceana County does not publish a standard web roster or booking-photo gallery on the official pages reviewed. The Sheriff’s Office creates and maintains county jail records, VINE is the county’s stated current-custody route, courts show what happens after booking, and Michigan’s OTIS system covers sentenced state prisoners. This site explains those separate channels and the Michigan FOIA route for records not placed online. It stores no official arrest records or photos.
What Readers Can Find
The pages are organized around the practical differences between a fresh arrest, current custody, a court case, and a later corrections record.
- A countywide guide to recent arrests, booking records, mugshots, warrants, and record requests.
- A Daily Arrest Report for same-day lookup options and their limits.
- A Weekly Arrest Log for multi-day police reporting and verification.
- A VINELink Inmate Check for custody searches and alerts.
- Local arrest guidance for Hart, Shelby, and Hesperia.

Third-Party Search Partners
Some pages contain search tools operated by outside providers. Those companies set their own prices and control their own results. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee that helps keep the guide available. We do not set a partner’s fees or determine what its search returns.
